Sovereigns were much-improved last week against North East Blaze and will again need to be at its best to stay in touch.
The Falcons boast a number of quality players and currently sits fourth on the championship ladder.
Championship assistant and division one coach Kim Bailey was hopeful that this week would see the side encapsulate what it has only shown in spurts so far this season.
“We played a much better game against Blaze last week,” Bailey said.
“Hopefully it can all click.
“But Falcons won’t be comfortable sitting in fourth and, like we are, will be looking to get the win.”
Bailey expected to see Sacha McDonald play a full game, after a half last week, as she returns from injury.
The division one side faces a tough match-up against a Falcons team that is part of a clear top three in division one.
It’s biggest challenge, in more ways than one, will be quelling the influence of 210cm shooter Tharjini Sivalingan.
Bailey said it would have to chop off her delivery further up the court to deny the dangerous goaler.
In the 19/unders, the Falcons boast an 8-3 record while Sovereigns is searching for its second win.
