A yeti will be making an appearance at the market in a bid to find himself a name, which will be chosen through a competition.
The winner will receive a roller skate party for 15 children, valued at $270.
Other entertainment includes over 40 stalls which will showcase a range of local arts and crafts and home wares, as well as a musical lineup and refreshments.
“The WinterFest market is a great opportunity for the community to come together, support local businesses and enjoy the festivities that the market brings,“ Stacey Oliver, Director Community and Youth Engagement, said.
“The market is open to all and is free to enter. It is a great opportunity to get in some early Christmas shopping or a perhaps a Fathers Day gift.
All funds raised through the market will go to supporting YMCA Open Doors programs that enable disadvantaged members of the community to access programs and services.”
The Ballarat YMCA WinterFest Indoor Market will occur on Friday, July 28 from 3:30pm – 7:30pm, at the Delacombe Stadium, Nandiriog Drive, Delacombe. For more information, go to www.ballarat.ymca.org.au.
