An elderly woman who went missing from Trentham’s High Street on Tuesday afternoon has been found on a nearby property after enduring a cold night exposed to the elements.
Sergeant Nathan Gardiner confirmed a resident found Jill Nash on their block along Cosmo Road about 10.30am on Wednesday.
“It appears she was out in the elements overnight but she appeared to be in a relatively good condition,” he said.
“It was down to two or three degrees overnight, so it was cold but not freezing.
“Considering her age it is a fortunate outcome.”
A spokesman for Ambulance Victoria said Ms Nash was taken to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition.
The initial police search had also involved officers from Ballarat.
