Ballarat Harcourts’ employees put their best foot forward in high heels on Thursday, in preparation for Walk a Mile on September 1.

The event in Melbourne will see Harcourts’ employees donning high heels to walk a mile in, raising money for White Ribbon and the work it does to educate the next generation against violence toward women.
“White Ribbon says that the’re no such thing as violence whether it’s physical or it’s language toward women. It’s a great education process and we’re hoping it leads toward a brighter future and communication being better and equal.” Ballarat Harcourts’ business owner Jason Gigliotti said.
Beginning in Victoria, and now an overseas phenomenon, Walk a Mile was the 2013 brain child of Harcourts’ Victorian chief executive officer Sadhana Smiles.
“We believe if we teach the next generation about respectful relationships then in the future we are going to make a difference for this issue. Men need to stand with women to make a stand to say no to violence against women.” she said.
