Weir landed the feature hurdle with Ancient King at Sandown on August 6.
He will send Over The Yardarm around in the $350,000 Grand National Steeplechase, 4500m, at Ballarat Turf Club's jumps festival.
It will be the eight-year-old Kiwi's first start for the stable, having been transferred to Weir by Mark Brooks.
Over The Yardarm is coming off a second to Wells in the Crisp Steeple.
