The team, which had last weekend off, is currently second last on the Football Federation Victoria women’s state league one north-west table with two games to play in 2017.
To escape the drop, the Strikers need to avoid finishing last and University of Melbourne to remain inside the top two in state league two.
University of Melbourne already has a team in state league one and can’t get promoted from the lower tier this year.
Ballarat will face tough opposition this weekend, with the third-placed Eltham Redbacks travelling to Morshead Park for Sunday’s match.
In the clash between the two sides earlier in the year, the Redbacks won 6-1.
Ballarat gets back key players Vanessa Yung and Hannah Sawkins for Sunday’s game.
After this weekend’s fixture, the Strikers will take on Melbourne Knights in the final round of the campaign.
