Biggin had his second stint as senior coach of the club last season and took the team to a 10th-placed finish on the ladder.
He had previously served as a playing coach in 2004 and 2005.
Learmonth president Matt Hines said Biggin would still be involved with the coaching group during the 2018 Central Highlands Football League season, but had wanted the club to seek a replacement for the head role.
Meanwhile, club great Brenton Powell has claimed a sixth senior best and fairest award.
Powell’s win in the recent vote count was his fourth in succession.
