Ballarat boasts four more premiership players after Richmond defeated Adelaide by 48 points in the AFL grand final on Saturday.
Richmond veteran midfielder Shaun Grigg achieved the ultimate goal in AFL football after 11 years in the system.
Grigg played his junior football with Redan in the Ballarat Football League and still keeps in constant contact with the club.
It was a very different scenario for teammate Dan Butler on Saturday, who has managed to live out his dream in his debut season for the Tigers.
While small forward Daniel Rioli has achieved the feat in his second year at the club.
Grigg, Butler and Rioli all completed their schooling at St Patrick’s College.
The three, along with Tatyoon’s David Astbury, represented the North Ballarat Rebels in the TAC Cup system.
All four played a role in the premiership, which broke a drought of 37 years.
