Event goers took up the chance to relax and enjoy ta beautiful spring garden dating from the 1970s, and the restored 1850s blue-stone brewery, which has been adapted into a home by its owner, Merle Hathaway.
Music for the event was provided by the Ballarat Ukulele Kollective and Ballarat Grammar School and bought an authentic atmosphere to the garden party.
Mayor Samantha McIntosh even made an appearance and judged the best outfits for the day.
The event was hosted by the Save Civic Hall group and gave members and opportunity to unwind after years of fighting to save one of Ballarat’s landmarks.
Supporters of the 1956 Civic Hall said they are seeing some major wins with Council and are committed to retaining the building and working on interior restoration and landscaping.
