Council orders Brunswick block owners to fix flammable cladding

A report into a building at 597 Sydney Rd, Brunswick, has shown the entire building's cladding has to be replaced, at a cost of more than $2m, and residents were told last week that its insurance building has jumped from $29,000 last year to $134,000 this year.

Owners of an apartment block in the inner north covered in combustible cladding have received an emergency order to make their building safe within three months.
