Mars Stadium is set to host the clash, which will be new Rebels head coach Marc Greig’s first game in charge, on March 24.
Greig, the former North Ballarat Roosters senior coach, took over from Gerard FitzGerald after the 2017 season.
Other highlights of next year’s fixture will see Mars Stadium used for a triple-header of matches during round 15. Gippsland Power and Murray Bushrangers are scheduled to lock horns at 10am, Geelong Falcons and Dandenong Stingrays will battle from 12.30pm before the Rebels and Bendigo Pioneers clash at 3pm.
In season 2018, a wildcard round has been introduced prior to finals to provide players across all clubs an extra development opportunity.
While the top four teams will earn a week off, a wildcard round will decide the remaining four finalists, with teams placed four to eight matched against the sides positioned ninth to 12th.
A three-week finals series will then begin on the weekend of September 8-9, following the elimination final format that was introduced in 2017.
Meanwhile, the fixture for the second season of TAC Cup Girls has been revealed.
The competition will again feature all 12 regions, but will expand from a five-round to nine-round season and include the first-ever grand final for the under-18 competition.
The Rebels will open their season against Eastern Ranges on March 3.
