He cannot remember exactly how many titles has has won on the bike in his young career.
The 17-year-old added another to his tally – whatever that is – in the Cycling Australia Road National Championships under-19 men’s criterium in Ballarat on Wednesday.
While the track, on which he has been a medallist in a world junior championship, remains his favourite racing mode, Cuff is proving to be a force on the short road circuits.
He latest success adds to a national under-17 criterium title.
Cuff said he was pleased with the progress he was making on the bike and hoped to be able maintain it as he worked through the ranks.
He said the race did not really go to plan in the closing stages.
Cuff said he was a little nervous going into the final sprint and hit the lead a little earlier than he would have liked.
“I would have liked to leave it a little latter. I had to make do with I could. It panned out pretty good for me.”
