The Peter O’Dwyer-coached sprinter took out the William Edward Darby Memorial 120m Open Gift final with a run of 12.37sec.
Baird, who has moved back to the region from Melbourne and has been back training with O’Dwyer since the winter, won the final from a handicap of 6.50m.
From lane two, he defeated runner-up Leigh Phelan and Edward Ware, who finished third.
