Australian film maker and director of Wolf Creek Greg McLean launched the new exhibition on Tuesday, which also features props from his film Rogue.
McLean said the props had previously been kept in storage, but public interest had grown since the release of new Wolf Creek films and a television series on Stan.
“I find a lot of Wolf Creek fans in regional Australia,” he said.
“People relate to the character of Mick because he is such an outback character, and even though he is an evil nutcase… people come up all the time and say ‘my uncle Bill is just like Mick, except for the killing part’.
“Growing up in Bendigo on a farm, I took a lot of elements from people that I knew and put them together to make them authentic.”
The exhibition of Wolf Creek and Rogue props will be permanently on display at the Amazing Mill Markets in Ballarat.
