The Ballarat youngster, who plays tennis at Mt Prospect District Tennis Association in Creswick, was one of 170 ANZ Tennis Hot Shots participants to step onto centre court and meet some of the world’s best players.
Tennis Australia chief executive officer and Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley said tossing the coin at the start of the match was an exciting experience for the participants and it was fantastic to have a coin to remember the occasion.
The commemorative coin has three time Paralympic gold medallist Dylan Alcott engraved on one side.
The ANZ Tennis Hot Shots program caters for children aged between three and 12.
