EMPLOYEES were left angered yesterday as administrators stepped in to take over Wendouree's Terry Ham Retravision. The electrical retailer, trading as Terry Ham Electrical, has gone into liquidation.Administrators BDO Kendalls told the company's eight employees that they would not receive their entitlements, estimated to be about $80,000.Directors Terry and Margaret Ham were not speaking to staff and declined to comment yesterday.BDO Kendalls said they were unable to provide figures on how much was owed to creditors. The business had been for sale for 18 months, but had been unable to find a buyer. The Courier understands another Retravision store with different owners will be opening soon.Staff yesterday said they had been "guaranteed" their entitlements upon the store's closure last Frida and felt "deceived".Former store manager Scott York said staff finished work on Friday, with Mr Ham "retiring" from the business after 20 years.Mr York said he had been with the retailer for 10 years and was owed long-service leave. He said staff had been paid right up until the last day of work, but had been promised to receive all entitlements."We were told we would trade out of it, but when we've come in here today, it's a different story," Mr York said."We've sold half a million dollars worth of merchandise in the past four weeks and we've stuck by him until the end of the day ... now this."Employee Wayne Kordorenko said the biggest issue was the deception."They've tried to trade it out, but how much can they take?" he said.Another employee, Ed Darcy, said the reality of the situation hit hard."Everyone is out of work ... we've got kids, we've got to pay for food on the table," he said.
