While this time it was the undefeated East Point to secure victory over Lake Wendouree at Eastern Oval on Sunday, the match did not come without a battle.
The Dragons came out firing in the first quarter with four majors to take a 26-point buffer into the first break.
But Lake Wendouree managed to gain control in the second and third quarters to hold the opposition goalless.
But a final assault from East Point came in the fourth term, kicking five goals and seven points to just the one behind to end the game 69-3.
Meanwhile, Redan continued its red-hot run with an impressive 151-victory over Darley at City Oval on Sunday in what was a top versus bottom-of-the-ladder clash.
The Lions’ Carly Twaits roared with five majors to be listed among the best players, while Georgie Hassell booted three goals.
