The youngster delivered the opening two goals of the game before Ballarat North United levelled with two goals in five minutes before half-time. But Hann’s third at the 62-minute mark proved the match-winner.
Hann normally plays as a midfielder, scoring one goal in hi previous four matches, but he played a key role up front on Sunday.
“I’m not normally the goal-scorer so it was good to bag a few, but I’m just glad I could go out there and do my part for the team,” Hann said.
Ballarat’s team is made up of mainly 17 and 18-year-olds and it has taken time to adjust to playing against the senior bodies. Hann felt a draw with Sebastopol two weeks ago gave it confidence and last week reaffirmed that.
“We had a pretty shaky start to the season to be honest.
“After that draw with Sebastopol, it really boosted our confidence and showed that we can compete with every team.”
