Anstey, a SEDA ambassador, will travel to Ballarat on Thursday to run the students through an industry leadership session on sporting success and club culture, where he will talk about his basketball journey, and discuss professionalism in sport and transferable work skills.
The students will then participate in an hour-long training session on the court at the Minerdome.
SEDA College Ballarat teacher Andrew Blackwood said when he had worked in Melbourne, the three-time NBL champion and dual Olympian had taken sessions that always engaged and resonated with his students.
Anstey’s decorated basketball career includes stints in the NBA and Europe, and two years at the helm of Melbourne Tigers.
He went on to coach the rebranded Melbourne United, which held a training camp in Ballarat, but resigned after the first game.
