Emergency services were called to the crash about 9.15pm, with reports of the woman being trapped in the vehicle on Barkly Street.
The Holden Commodore she was driving had left the road and crashed into a tree in the front yard of a house.

Barkly Street was blocked to traffic throughout.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was able to be treated by paramedics after firefighters from Balllarat City Fire Brigade and volunteers from Ballarat Fire Brigade removed the doors to her car.
Her car came to rest not far from the house.
Firefighters also removed the tree from the property, using chainsaws.
She was taken to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition with spinal and head injuries.
