With one of the best views in town, and an undulating botanical feel with more than 2500 roses, the 22-hectare cemetery has had 130,000 former residents interred there over the last 150 years. 

Learn about a time when the burial rate was at an all-time high and discover who, why and where people reside in the Ballarat General Cemetery, now and forever, at your backdoor.

Ballarat General Cemetery is at 1250 Doveton Street North. Shuttle bus tours depart the crematorium for the cemetery tour at 11am, 1pm & 3pm.
