A fire has totally destroyed a family home in Snake Valley overnight.

The CFA said they were called out at 7.45pm last night with the fire taking more than two hours to put out.
In all, nine trucks were called to the scene.
The family who owned the property were not believed to be home at the time, however two people were later treated for shock by paramedics.
Investigations are continuing.
