Actress Annabelle Tudor is relishing a “career highlight” role in a witchy play celebrating the underdogs of the Potter universe.
Born in Ballarat – her mother Jenny Tudor was the host and weather girl of The Morning Show on BTV6 – Ms Tudor returned to attend FedUni’s Arts Academy.
PUFFS follows seven years of Hufflepuff shenanigans, happening in the shadow of world’s most famous wizard.
Ms Tudor said the fast-paced play has her experiencing “emotional whiplash” as she transforms into different characters.
“She’s quite childlike and quite vulnerable, very open-hearted and willing to give things a go,” she said of her main character, Hannah.
“It’s fun and it’s fast and it’s a good challenge.
“As an actor you spend a lot of time waiting around ... But with this there’s only 40 seconds at a time where you’re not on stage.”
PUFFS is showing at The Alex Theatre in St Kilda until July 8, with family-friendly matinees on Saturdays at 2pm and Sundays at 1pm. More information at puffstheplay.com
