Driver lucky to walk away after car rolls at intersection

A driver was lucky to be unharmed after his silver Holden Commodore ploughed through a fence in Blowhard early this morning.

Ballarat police were called to the intersection of Millers Road and Ballarat-Maryborough Road about 2am after the vehicle veered off the road.

Luckily nobody was seriously injured in the incident, although the car sustained serious damage.

The crash occurred on a straight stretch of road.

It’s rear and front windscreens were both missing and a metal beam was sticking out the rear of the car.

The driver has since been charged with minor traffic offences.
