Rigby – who will captain the side – and Ringin come across from Napoleons-Sebastopol and will be a threat with both bat and ball, their class underlined by taking out the league’s highest individual honour in 2014-15 and 2016-17 respectively.
While Givvens, a former Hawk, is a top-order batsmen and a reliable off-spinner – representing the BCA at country week last year.
The trio will be huge inclusions to the Bunnies, who have already made significant steps in its bid to not just play firsts, but be a force to be reckoned with, having recruited five-time Wendouree premiership player Liam Brady as playing-coach two weeks ago. For Rigby, Buninyong is a familiar place, having played five seasons with the club as a junior. He said there was plenty of excitement around the club and he and the fellow recruits were confident it was ready to make the step-up.
“There’s a lot of excitement around the club, there’s also the unknown about what to expect, but we feel the club’s in good stead to make that progression,” Rigby said.
“Knowing that there was a lot of quality players coming across made the decision a lot easier as well.”
Coach Brady was stoked to gain the signature of the three recruits and said Rigby was a perfect fit for the captaincy, while he hinted there where more signings to come.
“As a club we're delighted that Liam has committed to the club for next season,” Brady said.
“He's a very talented cricketer and, equally as important, he's a quality person who is the ideal candidate to captain the first XI team in the inaugural season.
“I'm excited by some other players the club is currently working to secure.”
