The whole school was treated to a 50 minute presentation on native animals from Wild Action director Chris Humfrey who filled students and staff who learned about his charges.
Then Scarlette’s grade two classmates got a personal meeting with their favourite animals in a second session.
Wild Action visited the school after Scarlette won the main prize in a colouring competition with Country Racing Victoria.
The menagerie who made the trip to school included a koala, kangaroo, echidna, flying fox, salt-water crocodile, endangered barking owl, tawny frogmouth, python snakes, frogs, lizards, insects and other natives.
