Owners and artists Andy Ferguson and Arky Fitzwater dream of setting a live-art exhibition of a nanna sitting in a bath tub of minestrone, for one thing.
Andy Fergurson says the studio, located in Ballarat Block Arcade, is all about promoting regional artists.
“It’s a place [for creatives] to come and be supported,” Mr Ferguson said. “Often people need that little gem in their chest taken out, polished and put back in.”
The pair had a studio in Eastwood Street, but wanted a more inclusive space. “This is a space to work, but also a space to sell.”
“It’s about finding a community” Ms Fitzwater said. “We’re open to anything.”
The studio welcomes all kinds of art, from digital - Ms Ferguson’s specialty, to sculpture, jewelry to painting.
“We want to bring life, bring energy to the area,” Mr Ferguson said. “Creative people need to support each other...without art, why are we doing anything?”
