Nigro was a surprise delisting at the end of Melbourne Victory’s triumphant season, given he was a starting member of Victory’s premiership.
The 21-year-old had been in regular consolation with his manager and remained confident of finding a new home.
Despite an uncertain couple of months, Nigro is excited to continue his career and said the club’s culture was something that really attracted him to Roar.
He stepped into the defence in Rhys Williams' absence through last year’s semi-final and grand final and played a crucial role, highlighted by his 76 minutes in the grand final win.
Despite the disappointing news of being released by Victory in May, Nigro still enjoyed celebrated the premiership success and has since spent plenty of time with friends and family, refreshing himself for the upcoming season.
Having progressed through the youth ranks at the Victory, Nigro has gone on to make 26 Hyundai A-League appearances.
The 2018-19 A-League season gets under way on October 19.
Brisbane Roar will take on Central Coast Mariners on its home deck of Suncorp Stadium on October 21.
