WHAT do a banana, Sleeping Beauty and a death drop have in common? They are all pole dancing moves sure to impress at the regional pole dancing competition next month.PhysiPole Studios is holding the competition at the George Hotel, with all profits going to flood victims in Victoria and Queensland.PhysiPole Studios owner and pole dancing instructor Kristy Sellars said the amateur competition would amaze and entertain spectators while helping make the sport more mainstream."There's a lot of stigma attached to pole dancing which will remain until people come to a class or a performance," Ms Sellars said. The competition will be divided into individual and doubles, along with guest performances by professional pole dancers. The star-studded judging panel will include the Victorian Miss Pole Dancer, a choreographer from So You Think You Can Dance and an Australian talent scout for Cirque du Soleil.Ms Sellars said the event would showcase one of Australia's most challenging sports."It's an amazing workout and a fun way to get fit."Standing room tickets are available for $15 from PhysiPole Studios on Peel Street South or the George Hotel.
