The Midland Highway, between Ballarat and Creswick, has been identified as one of the top 20 highest risk rural roads in Victoria.
Between 2010-2015, 3 people died and there were 17 serious crashes on the section of road.
Wendouree MP Sharon Knight said the community can view the plans at an information session in Creswick tonight.
The $14.5 million package of works include two new roundabouts, dedicated turning lanes, wide centre lines and flexible safety barriers.
The upgrades are being delivered in stages with final works to be completed mid-2019.
Residents can drop in to the VicRoads information session tonight from 6-8pm at the RACV Resort, 1500 Midland Highway, Creswick.
