Buninyong teenager Sam Rizzo won the City2Surf elite wheelchair category in Sydney on Sunday. The 18-year-old, who competed in the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games earlier this year, was the first competitor across the finish line in the event, with a time of 38.50 minutes for the 14 kilometres. “Heartbreak was definitely a killer,” an elated Rizzo said. “(It’s) a great event.” Rizzo was referring to Heartbreak Hill, which marks the halfway point of the fun run.
