The very adults only, inaugural X-press Yourself event, held on Saturday at Trade’s Hall, saw community groups come together for an expo to celebrate diversity.
Ballarat Pride Hub president Kirsten Holden said the event was a fun day out to explore and get to know the community
“The purpose of the event is to inform, educate and inspire the people of the region to explore more and express themselves,” Ms Holden said
“Ballarat has a huge LGBTIQA+ community, sexually diverse and gender diverse and The Pride Hub has been bringing awareness of this fact to the wider community.
“Now we wanted to be able to bring everyone together in the one place with goods and services for all sexualities.”
The day featured performances by Physipole Studios Ballarat and was hosted by MC Nellie Minnelli.
Ms Holden said the Pride Hub worked on a shoestring budget and it was important to get proactive to be able to self fund for the future program ideas.
