The Crows were beaten by eight points in a thrilling clash with Buninyong.
This Saturday, they get their shot at redemption.
The two sides will meet in a decider for the third time in four seasons and there appears little between them.
Beaufort won the meeting back in round four before Buninyong prevailed in the qualifying final a few weeks ago.
Paul Harris is back as the Bombers’ coach and believes there’s not much separating the two teams.
“It’s pretty evenly matched you’d think,” Harris, who has taken back the reins from 2017 coach Clinton Palmer, said.
“We’ve got to play at our best.”
Past regular senior players Adam Scott, Tyler Dittloff, Mark Phelps and Chris Wills are among the key figures for the Bombers this weekend.
Adrian Beer played and coached the Crows during the defeat last season, but will only be directing traffic from the sidelines in 2018.
He has been picked in Beaufort’s senior side, which will battle Buninyong later in the afternoon.
“Obviously for a few people it (2017 loss) still burns inside a bit, but I think it’s a new year and you go out there and worry about the day rather than anything that’s happened previously,” Beer said.
Joe Mason, Luke Ward, Digby Sangster and Joel Chester are among the Crows players that have featured in the club’s senior side during the year and pose the biggest threat to the Bombers.
Beaufort beat Buninyong to win the 2015 reserves grand final.
Kicking off the day’s action at Mars Stadium will be the under-15 decider between Gordon and Skipton.
The Emus are looking to become the first former Lexton Plains league club to claim a premiership cup in the CHFL and look favourite to do so after an undefeated season so far.
After that game, Springbank and Buninyong will lock horns in an under-18 showdown.
