Youngsters had a chance to flex their boxing skills in the Wendouree Library on Tuesday and more will start thinking outside the box in Ballarat on Wednesday afternoon as part of Ballarat Libraries school holiday program.
A construction theme has been built to keep youngsters sharpening their tools, from virtual reality goggles to cardboard castles and catapults.
Wendouree’s on-site foreperson equipped young builders with Makedo to get upcycling boxes into their dream, fairytale castles.
Green screen technology has also been transporting castle builders into life as a hero or heroine of ancient worlds.
To protect castles, construction zones have been set aside next week for creating catapults.
Cardboard VR goggles proved a little more portable in bringing to life new worlds to explore, like the solar system or surviving dinosaurs roaming the earth.
