Three adult bikes, and two children’s bikes were taken from the garage in Dawes Road in Inverway some time over Tuesday night.
Edan Cassell found his garage empty Wednesday morning as he went outside to leave for work.
“It’s really disappointing,” he said.
“They must have had an idea of what they were looking for, and loaded all the bikes into a truck.”
Mr Cassell has contacted the police, who are currently investigating the issue.
“The roller-door is stuffed now, they must have forced it open which has knocked it off its track.”
This is incredibly disappointing for the family, who’s children have now been left without access to one of their favourite activities during the school holidays.
Along with the bikes, a plethora of other riding equipment was stolen, including some children’s helmets signed by Toby Price.
Mr Cassell’s sister-in-law took to Facebook to generate more attention, and potentially lead to the recovery of the bikes.
The bike models were: 2017 KTM 350, 2013 KTM freeride 350, 2007 Yamaha TTR 230, 2001 Yamaha PW80, and a 2000 KTM 65.
Anyone who may any information regarding the theft should contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit an anonymous report online here.
