Yoga instructor Michelle Bowler is offering an hour-long class to celebrate World Mental Health Awareness Month in partnership with headspace Ballarat.
“Yoga can be beneficial for finding stillness – get a bit of focus out of your head into your body – and doing yoga with other people has that connective energy,” Ms Bowler said.
Open to all ages and abilities, the class is free to make yoga more accessible for anyone interested in having a go – all that is needed is comfortable clothing and a water bottle.
The class will feature a short introduction from mental health advocate Sue Walker. Meet at Lake Wendouree, opposite the floral clock, Friday at 10am.
