Skippers Ian Warner (Sebastopol), David Schreenan (BMS) and Craig Grenfell (Linton) progressed to the finals as winners in Sunday’s sectional play, also at City Oval.
Warner' will meet Shreenan in a morning match-up for the right to play Grenfell for the title.
PLAYERS dealt with wet conditions on Tuesday in the opening day of the BDBD over-60 men’s singles championship on synthetic greens at Ballarat North and Ballarat Memorial Sports.
The rain resulted in the encounter between Ken Birch and Brian McKeegan being postponed.
This will be completed on Thursday before the next phase of matches later on the same day.
Winners already progressed from Tuesday: S.Wilson B. Wilcock, S. Gollan, D. Knight, E. Harman, W. Roberts, P. McSherry, P. Oxlade, I. Warner, T.McDonald, B.Spencer, D. Flintoff, W.Morgan, M. Hughes & S. Duggan.
THE over-60 pairs are the next BDBD men’s championship to be contested.
This category begins next Thursday and will be followed by the men’s triples on Sunday, October 21.
THE BDBD women’s pairs championship starts at Creswick next Thursday.

Quarter and semi-finals will be at BMS on Thursday, with the final at Invermay next Tuesday.
