They trekked eight kilometres about Lake Wendouree, one kilometre for each life lost to mental illness in Australia each day. It was also a chance to those who had been lost to suicide.
Their efforts in the annual Walk For Awareness earlier this week helped to support the large, mass-participation event in Brisbane for Mental Awareness Foundation.
The Ballarat team raised more than $200 for the foundation, which supports frontline charities in raising awareness and making a difference in depression, mental illness and proactive prevention to help save lives.
Snap Fitness Ballarat continues to collect loose change in its Dana Street gym.
