Ballarat mayor Samantha McIntosh said this year’s campaign was part of a bigger, creative vision for the city with a unique Ballarat Christmas twist.
The City has been working with local artists on a new interactive arts trail, building on the success of last season’s 3D fun, and a giant Christmas present display.
“The spirit of Christmas in Ballarat has morphed over the years into a celebration of our city's creatives who are constantly challenging traditions to create something that is uniquely Ballarat,” Cr McIntosh said.
“This year’s interactive Christmas decorations play an important role in establishing Ballarat as a creative city.”
City of Ballarat workers have started unpacking giant baubles and street trimmings. Favourites, like Santa’s floral reindeer, will arrive back in Sturt street soon.
"Stay tuned,” Cr McIntosh said.
“There is plenty to celebrate in Ballarat this festive season."
