He is relocating to Queensland for non-football related reasons after one year in the Ballarat Football League.
Reid was a key signing for the Devils, providing versatility as a key position player as well as an on-baller.
He made an immediate impact for Darley with a match-winning performance in an opening round one-point victory over Bacchus Marsh and was rewarded for his early season form with selection for the BFL in the AFL Victoria Community Championship.
Reid spent time overseas this year, and played just the 10 games.
Reid played with Werribee Tigers in 2015 and had two seasons with Pascoe Vale in the Essendon District league premier division before crossing to Darley. He has also played in Queensland.
He joins Rhys Ellis as early departures from Darley, which earlier this week announced the signing of former Carlton player Nick Graham, who will join older brother Brian at the Devils.
