Darley young gun Zak Butters will pursue an AFL career with Port Adelaide.
Power selected Butters from Western Jets in the TAC Cup with pick 12 in the AFL national draft on Thursday night.
Butters played in Darley’s 2017 Ballarat Football League senior premiership team at the age of 17.
That was just his fifth senior appearance with the Devils.
The national draft continues on Friday, followed by the rookie draft.
His AFL draft profile says: Midfielder who is clever and creative using his footy smarts to set up the play. Quick and a nice user by hand and foot, he impressed for Vic Metro despite carrying a shoulder injury, which eventually ended his season at the end of the AFL Under-18 Championships.
