Jamieson, who is travelling Australia during the Inter Dominion series, partnered locally-trained horse Majestic Player to victory in the opening race on Tuesday night.
The Anton Golino-trained trotter charged to the lead in the early stages of the race and was never headed after that, going on to win the Decoglaze Glass Splashbacks T1-T2 Trot Final by close to four metres. The horse beat Needabacardi (Lisa Miles), with Golino’s Ima Bourbon Girl third.
Jamieson had three other drives on Tuesday’s card.
He finished eighth behind Alison Alford-trained Spinners Boy in an M0 pace, last with Bill Morgan-trained favourite Maori Law in the night’s first Inter Dominion Trotting Championship heat and then sixth with Yayas Hot Spot (Shane and Lauren Tritton) in the third of the Inter Dominion Pacing Championship heats.
Jamieson is a two-time world championship-winning driver.
