Creswick Woollen Mills is an exceptional destination for tourists and locals, conveniently located between Ballarat and Daylesford.
If you’ve driven past Creswick Woollen Mills recently, you will have noticed the changes to the front of the building.
The entire facade has been revamped and transformed to feature a ‘green wall’, a stunning feature wall jam-packed with plants and greenery that provide an inviting welcome to guests.
Things have also changed on the inside, with an animal enclosure unveiled earlier this year providing a renewed animal experience for guests.
Creswick’s resident animal expert, Farmer Cameron walks visitors through the animal enclosure, allowing them to get up close and personal with Creswick’s gorgeous alpacas, sheep and goats, including feeding and petting them.
‘A Very Fine Yarn’ is a highlight of a trip to Creswick Woollen Mills, the interactive exhibition showcasing the journey of natural fibres and the history of the Mill. Guests can follow the manufacturing process from its source on the alpaca through to how Creswick’s products end up on the shop shelf.
Visitors at the Mill can also experience the bustling café and enjoy a cup of coffee on arrival, or a freshly baked treat from the range of locally produced cake and slices.
Stopping for lunch at the dynamic Mill café is highly recommended - local produce is championed across its hearty and generous menu.
