Arch rivals Darley and Bacchus Marsh were scheduled to meet in a April 25 blockbuster in a draft draw released earlier this month.
BFNL operations manager Shane Anwyl said the round two match-up would now be played on Saturday, April 27 – making it possible for all grades of football and netball to be played on the same day.
He said restrictions to sporting events on Anzac Day meant games were unable to start before 1pm.
The home and away season will begin on Saturday, April 13, with reigning premier East Point to unveil its first senior football premiership flag before facing Lake Wendouree at the Eastern Oval.

The BFNL has retained plans to have a match on Good Friday as part of split round.
However, Ballarat will be at home to Redan in the only game over the Easter long weekend.
The draft fixture had North Ballarat City playing Lake Wendouree on Good Friday, but this now moves to April 27 when round two will be completed.
Five night games are planned – all within the opening three rounds – including one at Bacchus Marsh (against Melton), which is dependent on the installation of new lights being finished
