For the second year, Price has collaborated with Ballarat Cycle Classic to raise money and awareness for the homegrown Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute.
“Most people have been affected by cancer in some way so I was happy to donate my time to help out,” Price said.
“It’s exciting to have an internationally recognised lab in Ballarat which, like everyone else, is trying to find answers to cancer...I’ve always loved the saying ‘think global, act local’ but in FECRI’s case it’s ‘think local, act global’.”
Price’s profile as an artist is growing. Ballarat people may recognise his style on the Main Street mural. He has also worked with high-profile clients like Pearl Jame, Mambo, Australian Open and Nike.
But Price said seeing his Cycle Classic work in Ballarat really helped him feel a connection to his community.
