Mozo will make a return to the game after sitting 2018 on the sidelines due to a hip injury.
The Spanish player was enjoying some of her best golf towards the back-end of 2017, finishing in the top five of the New Zealand Open, before injury struck.
It has been a frustrating period for the 30-year-old, but she will be a great addition to the field at Ballarat Golf Club, with the ALPG qualifying tournament, which sees the top eight players earn a spot in the Vic Open, beginning on January 28.
ALPG CEO Karen Lunn said it was a great get for the tournament, now into its second year.
“She’s great for the event...she’s a very talented player,” Lunn said.
“Any time you can get a US Tour player coming down here to play it’s exciting...particularly with as big a following as she has.”
Mozo is ranked 469 in the world, having previously knocked on the door of the top 100.
Mozo’s partner will also be in the country on sporting duties.
Colombian Robert Farah is currently ranked number five on the ATP doubles tour and is gearing up for an Australian Open campaign.
In further good news for the ALPG, defending champion Xiyu Lin confirmed to return while fellow big names Sarah Kemp and Rebecca Artis are set to play.
These players to tee-up alongside former world number one and World Golf Hall of Famer Laura Davies, who is locked in to play once again.
Entries for the tournament officially opened earlier this week, with the club hoping to land a few more key names.
