Central Goldfields Criminal Investigation Unit police officers uncovered the alleged ice lab on June 26 after they attended the property to speak with the owner.
The owner, who The Courier cannot identify due to a court order, was arrested and charged with drug and bail offences, including possessing substance, equipment for trafficking in a drug of dependence, possessing a prescribed precursor chemical and failing to answer bail.
He appeared in the Ballarat Magistrates Court on Thursday for a committal mention.
The court was told forensic testing, including an analysis of electrical devices, was due to take place over the next six months.
“There will be a lot of material coming our way, we expect,” defence lawyer Adrian Lewin said.
The accused’s bail was extended until August when he will return to the Ballarat Magistrates Court for a committal mention.
His bail conditions include reporting to police three times a week, to live at a static address, not to attend international points of departure, not to apply for a passport, a curfew and not to use drugs.
