Usually the flowers are the brightest splashes of colour around Avalon Nursery, but this week there will be a sea of hot pink shirts competing with the greenery.

The pink shirts are of the shade synonymous with the fight against breast cancer and it's in support of much-loved staff member Carole Gillies, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
But that's not all.
At least seven members of the Avalon Nursery team, male and female, and a young neighbour, will have their heads shaved on Friday night to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Network.
Owners David and Joanna Winters, who will both lose their locks, are well-known for supporting local community causes through events held at the Haddon nursery, and this cause is close to home.
"As most are aware, we do what we can to fundraise, help others and hold community events. This time WE are asking YOU for help as this one is close to our hearts, a member of the Avalon Nursery Family is the one we are supporting," they wrote on their Facebook page.
"Everyone knows someone or they themselves have been affected by breast cancer. Someone very close to us was recently diagnosed and is currently undergoing chemotherapy, so we have decided to raise funds to donate to the National Breast Cancer Foundation fund to assist with ife-changing breast cancer research and achieve their goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030."
Through their gofundme page, the nursery has raised just over $2000 with a goal of $3000 before the shave.
At first six staff members put their hands up to undergo the shave if $500 each was donated, and the tally quickly added up.
"Staff members were very quick to come on board and we've had some quite significant contributions to help us move forward with our fundraising."
Neighbour Will, 10, also dropped in to tell them he would participate, and had his mum's permission to do so.
"He said he had seen that we were doing it and his mum said if it was for a good cause and helped raise money he could shave his head," Mr Winters said.
As well as the head shave, the nursery will host a barbecue from 5.30pm to raise even more money for the cause.
"It's all for a great cause. If one person here has to go bald with treatment, we'll all go bald and everyone will look the same."
The one thing they haven't yet secured is a hairdresser willing to donate their skills to ensure a smooth shave. But even if that doesn't happen the shave will go ahead.
