ROUND 15 MATCH BY MATCH
JACOB Smith hit a century to guide Mt Clear to a commanding nine-wicket win over Buninyong at St Patrick's College on Saturday.
The wicketkeeper finished with 136, including 16 boundaries, to take Mounties past Buninyong's 174.
He combined with Brendan Moyle, 24, for an opening stand of 80 and then put on 98 with Darren Fletcher, 57 not out (7 fours).
It was Smith's first time past 50 for the season and further reinforced Mt Clear's batting depth.
Mt Clear batted on to reach 2-236.
EAST Ballarat grinded out a three-wicket win over North Ballarat at Russell Square.
Chasing down the Roosters' 172, East had to work hard after being 3-40 and then losing two quick wickets to be 6-153.
Brad Whittaker, 61no (8 fours), and Jacob Eyer, 54 (12 fours), were the mainstays.
They came to rescue after the early wickets to put on 93 for the fourth wicket.
Sam Jackson returned the best bowling figures for North with 3-34.
REIGNING premier Golden Point prepared for another finals series with an emphatic 268-run win over Ballarat-Redan at the Eastern Oval.
The Two Swords were never in the hunt in pursuit of Point's massive 8-385 and managed only 117.
Zac Jenkins provided the most resistance with 43 (6 fours) in the middle order after Ballarat-Redan was 2-13.
Late season recruit Josh Richards grabbed 3-24 late in the innings in his first bowl in the BCA to follow up his century on the opening day.
Daniel White, 2-21, was the only other multiple wicket-taker.
JASON Knowles led Brown Hill to a 113-run win over Napoleons-Sebastopol at Napoleons.
Knowles took 5-23 off 21 overs in a captivating display to knock over Naps-Sebas for 74 in reply to the Bulls' 187.
The loss left Naps-Sebas without a win at the bottom of the ladder.
Only skipper Dan Scott, 21, and Luke Corden, 19, reached double figures for the home side.
Tom Bourke-Finn picked up 3-11 off 11.3 overs and Ash Coxall rounded out Brown Hill's effort with the ball by snaring 2-27.
The five-wicket bag gave Knowles 24 wickets for the season.
COLE Roscholler capped off the season with 151 as Wendouree ran down Darley's 300 with two wickets to spare inside the last 10 overs at Wendouree.
Despite the big effort, the Red caps' campaign is over after missing finals.
Roscholler just fell short of batting through the day - being the eighth wicket to fall just 17 runs short of Wendouree's target.
The opener spent almost five hours at the crease, with his innings featuring 21 fours.
He figured in three sizeable partnerships, the biggest being 115 with Heath Pyke, 64 (7 fours, 3 sixes) for the third wicket.
He also added 63 with Matt Begbie, 24, for the second wicket and a crucial 70 for the eighth wicket with John Butler, 43 (7 fours), when the game tightened up.
