For the Roosters, it is now all about capitalising on a lot of hard work with victory over East Ballarat at the Eastern Oval.
Eddy said on his arrival at North Ballarat in 2015-16 he was given the charge of revitalising the club by way of a culture change across the board.
He said it was more than just adding new players.
Eddy said it was all about ensuring there was an abundance of good people and with it greater discipline in all aspects of contributing to club life.
There had also been a need to lift expectations, given the Roosters had been down for so long.
He said in the past the team would have been shaken or knocked off course when a result did not go its way.
Eddy said there had been a maturity this season.
"We didn't get flustered when things didn't go our way. We didn't rush. We took stock and moved on."
The Roosters' semi-final win over Mt Clear was a prime example, with them keeping a level head after being dismissed for 138 - well below the 200 runs they believed was a par total.
Eddy said not only had North Ballarat fought back, it had got over the Mounties for the first time in his four seasons in the BCA.
"We stayed relaxed and took our chances."
Eddy is one of just four North Ballarat players who took the field in his first season who are facing East Ballarat. Captain Leigh Lorenzen, Jason Crosbie and Matthew Zakynthinos make up the quartet.
The grand final starts on Saturday at 1pm and continues on Sunday, and Saturday, March 30, and Sunday, March 31.
